The Ministry of Labour has followed up cases in which members of the national workforce have lost their jobs at some private sector institutions.

The Indian Embassy in Oman has announced the appointment of Amit Narang as next Ambassador to Oman. Narang is currently serving as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in New Delhi. Narang is a 2001 batch Indian Foreign Services officer.

Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Saeedi, Minister of Health, has affirmed that the epidemiological situation of COVID-19 pandemic in Oman is improving continuously, attested by a steady decline in the number of new infections and deaths. Today, only 20 patients are admitted to intensive care units in the Sultanate, he added.
